I don’t know what’s wrong, whether the authors didn’t have enough time or money, but the fact remains that the game came out truncated. The first mafia was a masterpiece, which the second part tried to become, but it didn’t work out. When I played through it, I wanted to finish the story faster and here’s why: an absolutely empty city in which there is nothing to do, 85% of the missions are boring both in action and in the scenario. There are, of course, bright sides, such as pumping up cars or robbing shops, but it all gets boring quickly. There are cool missions with shootings, where PhisX from nVidia is present. It’s interesting to watch how glass, wood and other small parts fall apart in physics. But the plot also let us down, clearly not up to par with the first game. At the end there is a feeling of unsaidness, which would have been nice to add DLC, but they turned out to be completely unnecessary.

I'll probably spoil the whole review by saying that the game is good. It has interesting tasks, it is beautiful, you can still feel the spirit of that time at the edge of your nostrils, and the game has a great start. Yes, I don’t even consider the war level to be bad.

And yet, as a continuation of the first part, this is a failure. The game should be evaluated without looking back, because it’s sad to see how a personal, beautiful, book story from the first part turns into a story like GTA, where we are a weak-willed sm... creature that carries out orders for everyone with an “okay” face. Mafia 2 is an interesting game. It has excellent shooting and perfectly captures America in the 40s and early 50s. The music is simply fantastic!!! And I would be even more happy... but alas, no. Let's talk about the plot. He's... interesting in the first half of the game. Until he goes to prison. The missions are done quite well. Especially the mission with coupons. First you need to sneak into the building unnoticed and steal the coupons. You steal and go to Henry's. The game is awesome, played the remaster, liked the plot, excellent shooting, too, and everything is here, well-written characters, everything is there. Liked more than 1 mafia

The second part of the legendary game smacks of hackwork. The graphics, physics, and lighting became better, but the script lost. The game has become stupid compared to the first part, it doesn’t have all those special features, atmosphere, futurism that were in the first part. It's ok for 2010, but it could have been much better.
