Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour — is a golf game that features characters, enemies, and themes from the Mario series. As in the regular game of golf, the player's goal is to get the ball into the hole using as few strokes as possible. Before swinging, the player selects the club, the general direction and distance of the ball. During the swing, the player determines power by timing the button press so that the marker stops at the desired point on the power meter. At this point, the player can influence the direction of the ball by applying spin. Players can switch between automatic and manual shots, with the latter giving the player more control, albeit with a higher risk of a failed shot.
