Games Minecraft All reviews Review from Odin Mnogolik

Virtual Lego is what Minecraft is for me. I can't stand the limitation of legos to these squares and the visual result. The only thing I like about this is the freedom of imagination, when they give you everything and collect what you want.

I never understood this game as a video game, why play it, why the hell is it needed, etc.

As a sandbox constructor, the game is truly bottomless and limited only by imagination, you can puzzle yourself and assemble a world within the world there, create a functioning calculator from the real world, a monitor, etc. - and for this, respect to Minecraft. When you do something on a huge scale, these blocks don’t hurt the eyes, and the “picture” itself is impressive, when the scale is small (which is most often) - it’s impossible to look at it without pain in the eyes.

If you give this game to the hands of an “artist” or an engineer, then I give a standing ovation; if I give it to a schooltron, it makes me feel sick—and this is the most common result.

As a video game, it's the bottom, as an educational construction set, it's excellent. That's how it is, from one extreme to another depending on the user and his imagination.
