After the well-received NFS Most Wanted, the sequel was not long in coming and Carbon was released in November 2006. But whether MW is better than the next part or not, we’ll now consider.

Plot

The plot, as befits a sequel, continues the plot of the previous part. After escaping from Rockport, we go to Palmont and watch a flashback. We were already Palmonte and were racing against Kenji, Angie and Wolf. We win the race in the Toyota Supra, but the cars of Kenji, Angie and Wolf are paralyzed by the EMP. We take the main prize (money) and run away. Later we find out that there was no money in the bag.

Cross is still chasing us. At the end of the chase, you unfortunately lose your legendary BMW M3 GTR, and have already fallen into the clutches of Cross, but then several cars pull up. This is Dar… Read full

The second game in the Need for Speed series that I played after Most Wanted, and which unfortunately disappointed me. There is no such addictive atmosphere as in the previous part. I will compare Carbon exclusively with Most Wanted, because I believe that MW is the standard, this is an example of what street racing should be.

NFSC is similar to its predecessor, but the developers tried in every possible way to load the game with new features. Night city, new racing modes, partners - it's all there in Carbon, but unfortunately it doesn't have that elaborate design, spirit and atmosphere. It feels like the game was made in a hurry in order to hit the jackpot solely due to the popularity of Most Wanted. If you haven't played this part, then you haven't lost anything.

6.5

Need for Speed: Carbon is a prequel-sequel to Underground and Most Wanted. As with all NFS, the plot is here for show, but the authors tried to twist it. Even before the games with the Underground subtitle, the main character participated in races with Carbon's characters. At one point, a mess started, the cops swooped in and everything didn’t go as it should. After the events of MW, GG returns to Palmont City. He is being pursued by Cross, who has become a bounty hunter. But Darius pays off Cross and GG begins to conquer Palmont. The only good thing here is the start, and then as per the standard, we win everything and everyone.

But the gameplay has become worse than its predecessor. I don’t know what’s the matter, but the cars are controlled as if they were on a cushion of air, as if the… Read full

Compared to the previous part, we can say about it that it came out good with its atmosphere, but it didn’t get any worse, a lot of things were introduced in it, for example, tuning became much better, you can create a car in detail from the spoiler to the side skirt, you can paint the car for hours, the game is worth it would like to pass it

I don’t know why, but NFS CARBON is usually criticized. It is called boring, short, cut off, and compared to the previous part, it is made much worse. But Carbon also has its strengths. The game is really not bad.

Pros:

The style in this game is not poorly maintained and reveals itself in everything from the night time to vinyl and music in the background.

Different gangs participate in the races. And each gang has its own vinyl, which makes each NPC racer more than just a faceless creature. There are areas in the city that are controlled by large gangs, and each of these areas was also in the style of gangs. This is a small thing, but it made the city seem different

Carbon now has partners with different abilities.

But the calling card of carbon was canyon racing. This is something new. The ga… Read full

If in both parts Underground music was almost of key importance, then in “Carbon” other components of the game come to the fore. First of all, innovations such as the Autosculp system and the “war” of factions for the city. "Autosculp" is a technology that allows you to more finely adjust tuning settings. The appearance of gangs and the need to assemble a team (long live the racing classes!) further diversified the gameplay. In general, all these new items are damn exciting, they even distract from problem areas, if there are any...

If you choose to play NFS: Carbon or some of the more modern parts, then will you first of all go to create something new in Autosculp or take over the next district of the city? Read full

The game is great. The plot is normal, the game has its own partners with their own abilities and customizable tuning. I recommend it to anyone who loves NFS racing.

The game is just great!!! You already start your career by choosing a car class: 1) Muscle Cars, 2) Import & 3) Tuner!!! And here is the game law of “Need for Speed: Carbon”: the class of the selected car determines which of the three leaders you will compete against for the entire territory.

What I liked most about this game were three aspects:

1) there is a class of legendary cars - Muscle Car;

2) racing in quarries (both one on one against each of the leaders;

3) quality of drifting (in which I became the champion of my region in e-sports in the “Racing” genre, which I can prove a little later) .

I also really liked the fact that the styling part of the tuning contains real-life bodies (“Wide body”) for “Muscle Car” class cars!

Perhaps the most important innovation of this game is the appeara… Read full
