Why was this restart necessary at all?
NFS:MW 2005 is a damn masterpiece, amazing tuning, plot, AMAZING soundtrack, amazing atmosphere. Why was it necessary to fix something that works?
Firstly, the game was made more realistic, which is probably progressive, but it’s not fun at all. In a race, if you crash somewhere at high speed, then you lose, while the “Game over” sign will run for 5 seconds (you can’t skip it), while the start loads, it’s a bummer, especially if you’re a newbie and crash often, it’s so annoying. Cars - now all cars are open initially, you just need to look for them around the city, which is inconvenient. Networking, what did they do with the networking? NFS:MW 2005 was a kind of rebellious, "boyish" game in dark colors, it was awesome, very appropriate and realistic within the theme of the game. The relaunch is something, no doubt about it - bright and very beautiful, the visuals delight the eye (no joke), but it’s not the most wanted at all. The restart's soundtrack is good (which is generally typical for NFS), but I liked the original better. The relaunch itself is clearly somehow softer than the original, and maybe if the relaunch had nothing to do with the most wanted, then people wouldn’t be so overwhelmed with negativity.
It’s worth giving credit where it’s due - the mobile version of the reboot is my favorite race on mobile, but the PC/console version is so depressing
