I became acquainted with Need For Speed Underground back in 2004. When I first launched it, one line stuck in my head for a long time: “E RON DON DON.” In general, after the nth re-listening of Lil Jihn – Get Low, I finally decided to create a profile. Well, the moment has come, the first race... an hour has already flown by, but I still can’t tear myself away. I played day and night, if I encountered an impassable track, I gathered all my friends and with joint efforts, we finally got to the last race. How much time and nerves I spent on it, how many cars I tried - it was HELL! But still, the right car was found, it was a Peugeot 206. And now, the race is over, emotions are over the edge and there is only one thought on my mind: “I want more!” Today, I have completed NFS Underground at… Read full

While the current EA is engaged in masturbation by introducing loot boxes everywhere, releasing useless singles in addition to multiplayer and reinventing the wheel by releasing NFS 2015 and Payback, in 2003, on the wave of the popularity of fast and furious and street racing, Underground was released from under the wing of EA Black Box.

They uploaded videos with characters like cool racers, brought in styling and tuning, piled on cool music and threw all this stuff onto store shelves. It’s a pity that we can’t find licensed discs on sale now, but that’s not the point.

Atmospheric and driving racing in the Underground, along with the afterburner, gave rise, at least in Russia, to a bunch of custom cars. Everything was tuned: from rusty buckets of the Soviet automobile industry to cool foreig… Read full

Need for Speed Underground is a cult part in the history of the series, on which an entire generation grew up and with the theme of which, while EA is experimenting with new ideas, many still cannot part with. Everything about the game was wonderful - the soundtrack, the cars, the tuning, the city at night. I just didn’t want to leave the game, begging myself to go through one more race before going to bed.

The only thing that irritated me was the lack of difficulty of the game, which was only on “paper”, because no matter which one you chose, your opponents always drove the same way.

Two game modes deserve special praise - drag and drift, in which you could really show your friends what your spaceship is capable of. And this game has sunk into my soul so much that I still make sure to r… Read full

The game that determined the vector of development of the series for many years. With the change from countryside views to the city at night, a breakthrough occurred. Those who played NFS: Underground are unlikely to forget the feelings that overwhelmed them when they had to fly over a speeding train to the music of Rob Zombie on the themed Eclipse. No wonder, because the game has: a) an excellent selection of cars (plus chic tuning) b) excellent music c) well-designed tracks.

Later at these points the first Underground will be beaten by the second part, but for now it was necessary to enjoy this one, which has become legendary.

Compared to previous games in the series, this game is less boxy, brighter, and more dynamic. She inherited from her predecessors the closed world and the same type of racing tracks. All routes are the same (even if it says "(reverse)" in parentheses). I liked driving the car with the stabilization system disabled ☺, 😍. I liked the drifting, I liked the jumps and the spectacle of the collisions.

I especially liked the feeling of speed that appears only after installing a set of second-level upgrade parts.

And also in this part of the game, and thanks to it, I learned to predict when and where exactly a car will appear (either in the oncoming lane, or in the passing lane).

The laws of game time also work very well. If you lose a couple of seconds in a collision with a fence or wall, then on som… Read full

A whole generation of kids grew up playing this game. I remember when there were simple computer games, I often noticed guys playing NFS. I didn’t play the previous parts because I think it was with Underground that the NFS series gained its popularity.

There is nothing superfluous in this game. You choose a race, difficulty and play. Pumping cars is the same, you don’t need to look for anything somewhere, you just open it and insert it. Yes, it’s too simple, but at that time it was enough.

The plot may not be the most amazing, but pumping up the cars is good and interesting)

The game deserves its respect and shows the teeth of many modern games!!!

Great game! I recommend it. Back then, back in 2003, when it first came out, it seemed ultra-realistic to me - cool textures, lighting, different highlights, etc. Now you won’t surprise anyone with this game - games like underground can now be played on every phone! The game pleased me with its dynamics, speed and cool music... probably everyone now knows what arondondon is!

PROS:

- the music is cool I still listen to some tracks now

- the customization pleased me - customize the car as you want - airbrushing, different wings - everything is there

- not a bad game plot, but In my opinion, he is not needed here at all. The game is built as if it were one big race - it doesn’t deviate from the racing for a second!

MINUSES:

- lack of an open game world - sometimes it gets boring jumping from one tr… Read full
