Fewer Space Rocks -or- NO Space Rocks — Asteroids redux.

Play No Man's Sky with far fewer asteroids. Or, if you prefer, you can play without any asteroids at all. Try one of these mods if you also feel that the number of space stones is too high. If you need raw materials from asteroids, just disable the mod and stock up.
