The continuation of the amazing Subnautica causes mixed impressions during playthrough and a very nasty aftertaste in the end.

Almost everything good that is in this game migrated from the first part.

Of the really nice innovations, I can only highlight little things in the form of indicators of battery charge and food freshness on the icons of these things in the inventory. Finally, you can switch the map and the flashlight on the glider separately. And in general that's all.

The main character has been added to the game. In the sense that they added him as a person. Appearance, chatter, etc. And this stupid sheep is ruining all immersiveness. She doesn't say anything particularly smart. Attitudes towards her range from indifference to fierce hatred.

I am one of those people who really liked the second part, even moreover, one can say that it was after the 2nd part that I became a real fan of Subnautica.

Not ideal of course, there are some nuances.

On the plus side:

1) nicer interface, better graphics

2) events are now developing on land, or rather, now it’s 50/50. There are both land and water biomes, as for me, this diversifies the game and gives more opportunities and mechanics.

3) plot! There is more emphasis on the plot, which makes the game much more interesting to play through, and it is not limited to just survival for the most part, as in the first subnautica.

4) a small bonus in the form of expanding the functionality of the game, such as the ability to attach drawings, a freshness indicator, additional tools, charging batterie… Read full

After completing the first Subnautica, I immediately went looking for a sequel and found Subnautica Below Zero. And, naturally, I downloaded it immediately.

And what can I say: the game is no worse than the first part. Yes, the world has become smaller, some instruments are made a little differently than I’m used to, yes, there are no familiar plants. But a lot of new things have appeared. The list of plants and fish has expanded, and new funny creatures have appeared. Have you petted the baby Stalker? This is such a biting beauty. And penguins and monkeys - they’re adorable. There is an opportunity to repaint the base. How the standard white color infuriated me, but now at least paint it in the colors of the rainbow.

A new transport has appeared. This is, of course, not a Moth, but the Sai… Read full

Subnautica is an amazing game with an open beautiful underwater world in the style of survival. The only thing missing is dolphins. But everyone will find something of their own in the game.
