Swat 4 is one of the few games that does not reward for killing, but on the contrary, the more bandits left alive, the more points you get, which motivates you to use grenades (noise, stun and gas). You can play alone or with friends.
Each task has 2 entry points (front) and (back) which allows you to choose how to play.
Bandits and hostages always appear in different places, which makes it difficult to simply learn a map and play the same way, each time the game goes differently. There are non-lethal types of weapons and ammunition, which makes it easier to keep everyone alive and allows you to get more points. Swat 4 это одна из немногих игр которая не поощеряет за убийство, а наоборот, чем больше бандитов осталось живыми тем больше очков вы получаете, что мотивирует использовать гранаты (шумовые, свето-шумовые и газовые). Можно поиграть как 1 так и с друзьями.
На каждом задании есть 2 точки входа (парадная) и (задняя) что позволяет выбрать как играть.
Бандиты и заложники всегда появляются на разных местах что не даёт просто выучить карту и однотипно играть, каждый раз игра идёт по другому. Есть нелетальные виды оружия и патроны что упрощает задачу сохранить всех живыми и даёт получить больше очков. Есть система получения урона, иногда ты умираешь от 1 попадания, а иногда выживаешь при десятке попаданий. Если попали в руку, то увеличится разброс, если попали в ногу, то вы не сможете бегать.
