Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Games Series is an adventure game in the Borderlands universe from the developers of Telltale Games. The game takes place after the events of Borderlands 2. The game features two main characters: the beautiful con artist Fiona and the cybernetically enhanced Rhys. They will constantly replace each other as the main character. Each of them has their own version of events that once happened, and the game itself is their story. Players will very quickly notice a large number of discrepancies in the two stories. And, of course, both stories will be significantly embellished.

The first season includes the following episodes:

Episode 1: Zer0 Sum

Episode 2: Atlas Mugged

Episode 3: Catch a Ride

Episode 4: Escape Plan Bravo

Episode 5: The Vault of the Traveler

Reviews and ratings

I’ve never been a fan of Borderlands, but because of my love for Telltale and the interactive movie genre, I decided not to miss such a product, especially when all the episodes had already been released. Besides, for some reason I’m not drawn to the rest of the “telltail” stuff: I don’t like Game of Thrones, The Wolf and the Walkers are long gone, and Minecraft – ummm, well, yes. I decided to leave my review of the game in the form of a mini-review for each episode.

Episode 1 - fun and unexpected.

I am very pleased with the plot and development of the plot, interesting characters, and excellent humor. A clever ending that makes you wonder what will happen next.

Episode 2 - perhaps the weakest episode

There are a couple of interesting moments, still good humor, and an excellent, I would even s… Read full

I liked the game because I'm a fan of Boards and Telltale.

Everything in the style of Borderlands and all games from TGS

Telltale.

If other Telltale games have a serious undertone, a moody atmosphere and a lot of dialogue, then here they removed a little of the moodiness and added the signature (dark) humor of Borderlands.

The gameplay is the same as in any interactive novel/quest: a dialogue, during which there is/is not a branch depending on the player’s decisions, after which you need to find the necessary objects in this scene and move on. Only this is still an interactive novel - a lot of dialogue, a bit of searching for objects, and periodically QTE in the form of a chase/shootout.

The plot itself is very interesting due to the characters and the dynamics of their relationships, plus the game is played from the point of view of two characters (at the end you control their dialogue for both of them, which looks ver… Read full

Read full
