The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark is a point and click adventure puzzle game with a side view. Twin Lakes is a damn town. Damned enough to pay attention to it. For someone to finally do something. This is where the Dark Secrets detective comes into the picture. If you hear dull thumps at night, feel a chill on your back and generally feel something unclean, it means that Detective Francis McQueen is somewhere nearby.

Following the events of The Darkside Detective, McQueen must rescue his faithful (if not the brightest) partner, Officer Dooley, from the clutches of the dark forces, in order to return with him to the investigation of many strange, often paranormal and always paradoxical incidents.
