Need for Speed in 2015, which was released without a subtitle, was a bastion of hope that the series would be revived and sparkle with new colors. Moreover, at that time, the only recent interesting projects were Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Need for Speed: The Run. The latter was the first game in the series on the Frostbite engine. Only after The Run, the EA Blackbox studio sank into oblivion, and the following games were very so-so. 2012's Need for Speed: Most Wanteed was a copy of BurnOut: Paradyse with all the fun taken out of it, and GhostGames' first game, Need for Speed: Rivals, was, firstly, the second game in the series on Frostbite, and secondly, a rebuilt Hot Pursuit 2010. And after that, EA takes a break for 2 years, during which the “guests” assemble the new Need for Speed.
It was a big introduction, but it’s necessary. The point is. After The Run, which had a cool idea and an interesting narrative, it was very short. It can be completed in exactly two and a half hours. Imagine buying a game for 60 bucks for two and a half hours. Well, that's it. Multiplayer, by the way, did not save the game. But these 2.5 hours were interesting. It's like watching a movie. But MW2012 and Rivals were not very successful copies.
So it turns out that people are hungry for night street racing, like in Underground. So that you can also tinker around in the garage and customize the car for yourself. Decals, body kits, and other joys were brought to NFS 2015. They also brought in a plot with live actors. As was the case in the series, the main character is the nameless "YOU".
The plot is like this. The main character is invited to a party, where he joins the society of street racers. Meets 5 team members, each of whom has their own style: chasing, sprinting, drifting, and so on. There are also legendary racers with identical styles. And each member of the team wants to win the respect and recognition of their idol. And the main character helps them with this. The premise is banal and... Come on, this is racing, why bother adding anything here? Right? (No). Well, okay, they gave me a reason to ride and to hell with it. But is it interesting to ride?
I wouldn't say that. Although the game is based on frostbite, it looks unattractive. The reason for this is the dead of night in the gaming world. If you compare it with Underground or the same Carbon, then everything looks brighter there. What the hell will you see right away. But the cars, when you examine them in the garage, look very nice. In addition, the “guests” showed off the technology of transitioning from a video to a game without downloading. Only the hromak is scorching strongly and I can’t really believe what’s happening.
But as for the gameplay, then ahtung. The races are dull, the music is dull, the city is empty, and the cars are the same irons as in the last two games before this one. The game has a large fleet of vehicles, but you can get through it by buying a car 2-3 times at most and without much tuning. As a result, by the end of the playthrough I caught myself thinking that the game was a wild pass-through and there was no point in returning to it.
If the site administration doesn’t mind, then I’ll leave a link to my review of this game here. If you are against it, then simply delete it, but leave a review. Thank you.YouTube
