WWF No Mercy — the player takes control of a fighter without rules — a wrestler. The fight takes place in the ring, as well as outside it, for 10 or 20 seconds, or, if established by the rules, for an unlimited time. Up to 8 fighters can be in the ring at the same time, players can control only four at a time. Each wrestler has a unique set of strikes and techniques. During a tackle, the player can strike, throw, go behind the opponent's back, or push him onto the turnbuckle or ropes. The player can also block a blow, deliver a counter-attack, or dodge (depending on the blow being struck). In addition, the player can run, climb onto turnbuckles and the edges of the ring, and from there, strike the opponent. To win, the player must hold the opponent on his shoulder blades for three seconds or force him to surrender from a painful hold.
