A Silent Desolation, a new open-world survival simulator with anomalies and acid rains, will be released on Steam
A solo developer known by the nickname SHK Interactive is creating a post-apocalyptic survival simulator for Steam, set on Earth in the distant future. Earlier this month, the developer published a gameplay trailer.
The project, titled A Silent Desolation, is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5. The main character is an interstellar traveler who, due to a shipwreck, finds himself on Earth several centuries after humanity has left the planet. The character must find a way to repair his ship to fly home.
«This is not just a survival adventure; it's an invitation to uncover the mysteries of a forgotten universe, piece together the story of vanished humanity, and answer the main question: what really happened in this abandoned solar system?» — the description says.
A Silent Desolation features an open world, a loot collection system, crafting, and building. For instance, in some situations, it will be necessary to construct a bridge to cross a chasm. The main dangers are various kinds of anomalies. For example, acid rain can occasionally fall on the planet, capable of damaging equipment and harming the hero.
The exact release date for A Silent Desolation has not been announced yet, but the game can be added to the wishlist on Steam.
