Is this really Ubisoft? Star Wars Outlaws won't have the studio's most annoying mechanics
The developers of Star Wars Outlaws decided to get rid of the mechanics most hated by many players in Ubisoft games. Gamers will finally be able to simply explore the open world.
We are talking about the very towers that had to be captured in each of the studio's previous projects in order to unlock the map. We saw something similar in Far Cry or Assassin's Creed. Many players were annoyed by the monotonous gameplay with clearing each of these «towers».
According to journalist Brian Shea from Game Informer, this mechanic will not be in the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws. To support his words, he refers to the response of the game's creative director Julian Gerighty. It is assumed that the map will simply be «shrouded in fog», receding as exploration progresses.
Ubisoft recently showed a story trailer for the action-adventure game, in which the game's release date became known — August 30. Star Wars Outlaws will appear on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
