Trusted insider DuskGolem has refuted his recent statement regarding the development of Resident Evil 9. According to him, Capcom has moved the game and is focusing on remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
- There will be no announcement of Resident Evil 9 this summer, the game has been postponed until the end of 2025/2026;
- Rumors of a remake of the first Resident Evil are unfounded;
- There's also no need to wait for a remake of Resident Evil 5 just yet;
- Right now the studio is working on remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
Let us remember that quite recently many rumors appeared on the network about work on the first Resident Evil, which was allegedly planned to be released for the 30th anniversary of the series. Several insiders immediately began vying with each other to publish details of the project.
Previously, DuskGolem told where exactly the events of Resident Evil 9 will take place. According to another source, the hero will be 48-year-old Leon Kennedy.
