Insider Kurakasis, known for reliable leaks of the titles Metro Awakening and Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, has changed his mind about the future Mafia. He suggested that the new game would be a restart of the entire series.
If what I saw was for a new game, it would be a reboot without the «4» in the title. This is just my interpretation and may just be preparation for a future advertising campaign, hence the generic name Mafia.
He previously stated that the new part would be announced around May. This rumor, like the forecast of the Czech publication Vortex, did not come true. However, Kurakasis is still expecting the new Mafia to be shown this year.
Let us remind you that the new part has been officially in development since 2022. It is being developed by Hangar 13 studio. According to rumors, the game will take place before the events of the first part.
