The game is set in the violent underworld of Sicily in the 1900s. Enzo Favara tries to prove his worth to the Cosa Nostra in a time when the stiletto was a mortal danger in the right hands, blood feuds continued unabated for decades, and mafiosi walked around their territories on foot, on horseback or behind the wheel of a turn-of-the-century car.
Enzo's perseverance and determination helped him survive as a child in bonded labor in the hellish sulfur mines of Sicily. Now, ironically, he has the opportunity to enter Don Torrisi's mafia family, and he will do whatever it takes to succeed there.
The game pays great attention to the authentic atmosphere and details of that time: narrow streets of old Italian cities, rich mansions, remote villages and picturesque rural landscapes. The story spans several decades, from the turn of the century to the post-World War I era, showing how the Mafia evolved and influenced people's lives.

Reviews and ratings
the game is not a masterpiece. there were no expectations. the plot is weak, only the ending gave some emotions. it was cool to see the characters from the old parts. the graphics are normal. there is no open world and this is even a plus. the game is for one playthrough, it is unlikely to remain in the memory and you will want to replay it, but overall I am not disappointed in the playthrough
The ending of the game is depressing, without free roam I definitely wouldn't come back to this game.
I liked Mafia: Old Country; it didn't ruin the franchise. The story was engaging. The Sicilian landscapes added variety to the gameplay of Cyberpunk-style cities. Knife fighting is a new feature of all Mafia games. Don Torrizo, as a godfather, is perfectly captured in the game. The ending is great; I thought they'd leave together with Isabella. The game is about meanness, betrayal, courage, and escaping this world of crime.
I absolutely love it so far, it's like a mix of RDR2 and Mafia 3. Although I wish we had more freedom and can do missions when we want too and all that.
It seems those geniuses at Hangar 13, after the total disastrous performance of Part 3, conducted a thorough market analysis and decided, "Look, why bother developing proper mechanics if modern audiences will swallow a dumb soy movie as long as the visuals are pretty?" The result is a 10-hour simulator of carrying boxes, silencing identical bosses with one button in pathetic knife fights, and groveling in front of deaf-mute dummies who ignore you point-blank. The Sicilian vistas in Unreal Engine 5 look nice, no doubt about it, but outside of the on-rails storyline, this cardboard world is so dead that passersby have become immortal rubber dummies who can't even be hit by a car because they calmly get up and go about their business. You're given a map, garages, customizable cabinets, and gu… Read full
Read full
