Players Massively Criticized the Dragon Age: The Veilguard Trailer, Comparing the Game to Fortnite
The new trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard has finally been released, but players were completely disappointed. According to the browser extension Return YouTube Dislike, the video on the official channel garnered 110,000 dislikes against 26,000 likes.
Discontented comments can also be found on X and Reddit. The new Dragon Age is being compared to Fortnite, with criticism directed at the cartoonish character design and the trailer's unserious tone, which has little in common with the series' dark atmosphere.
Meanwhile, series producer Mark Darrah reported that the gameplay itself will differ from what was shown in the trailer. Some journalists have also noted that they have already evaluated the gameplay, and it contains plenty of dark and harsh elements.
The gameplay presentation for Dragon Age: The Veilguard will take place on June 11. The game itself is set to release in 2024.
