The authors of Dragon Age: The Veilguard explained why there will be no blood magic in the game
Previously, the developers of Dragon Age: The Veilguard have already mentioned that the game will not have a Blood Magic specialization, hinting at some good reason. Now the scriptwriters have explained in more detail why they decided to get rid of this mechanic.
As BioWare lead writer and narrative designer Patrick Weekes said on social media, blood magic was removed for moral reasons:
However, he hinted that another mechanic might be coming that would allow risk-takers to sacrifice health to cast spells.
