«Continuation of the story, new fighters, and big surprises» — Ed Boon revealed what awaits Mortal Kombat 1 in the future
NetherRealm Studios' creative director Ed Boon shared on his X (Twitter) page what the future holds for Mortal Kombat 1 and what new features will be presented at the San Diego Comic-Con International event (lasting until July 28).
In particular, at the exhibition this Friday in the conference hall, the game's developers will talk about the continuation of the story and future fighters. Ed Boon also promised «big surprises».
Recall that recently modders added a bunch of characters from other universes to Mortal Kombat 1. Specifically, this includes heroes from Game of Thrones and Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as 2B from Nier and Juri from Street Fighter.
Additionally, possible details of a future story DLC for MK1 have previously leaked online. It may include three new characters and three arenas.
