Tom Warren: Avowed release may be postponed to 2025
The Verge senior editor Tom Warren reported that the release of the action role-playing game Avowed from Obsidian studio may be postponed to 2025. The reason is not at all in the technical condition of the game.
Although the creators of Fallout: New Vegas are «famous» for the poor technical condition of their games at release, the decision to postpone the game was dictated by other circumstances. According to the journalist, the reason was the overloaded Xbox Game Pass schedule:
So far, Obsidian studio has not announced its intentions to move the release date. Previously, it was assumed that the game would be released in the fall of this year.
Recently, information has emerged that the creators of Avowed are already working on a new big project, which could be a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas.
