Star Wars Outlaws receives disappointing reviews from players
Despite the «most expensive marketing campaign» in Ubisoft's history, the release of Star Wars Outlaws turned out to be quite weak. At the time of writing, the user rating of the Star Wars action game on Metacritic has dropped to 4.8 points.
Judging by the negative reviews, players complain about the graphics that are six years old, optimization, problematic AI, bugs, lack of content, corrupted saves, the appearance of the main character Kay Vess, facial animations and gameplay mechanics straight from the PlayStation 2 era. As one player said, «if you've played Ubisoft games in the last decade, you've played this one.» To be fair, gamers found the exploration of the open world interesting.
Recall that the full release of Star Wars Outlaws took place on August 30. Before that, the game received 78 points on Metacritic and 77 points on OpenCritic. Some of the reviewers mentioned the same problems that players encountered at the release.
Star Wars Outlaws will not be limited to the base game — two add-ons with new content have already been announced. The Wild Card DLC will be released this fall and will tell about Kay Vess's meeting with Lando Calrissian, and the release of A Pirate's Fortune will take place in 2025. In it, the main character will enter into a fight with space pirates. Both add-ons can be purchased both separately and as part of the Season Pass.
Earlier, information appeared that the shooter XDefiant may lose support due to the outflow of the audience.
