Despite the unstable financial and personnel situation, Ubisoft continues to promote Assassin's Creed: Shadows, appealing to fans of the series. Recently, the developers acknowledged another shortcoming in the new games, which has been going on since Assassin's Creed 3.
At a recent BAFTA conference, Assassin's Creed executive producer Marc-Alexis Côté said that the series faced a creative crisis after the end of Desmond's story in Assassin's Creed 3. According to him, subsequent games lost the connection between the events of the past and the present, shifting the focus from the conflict between the Assassins and the Templars to the search for Isu artifacts. He promised that everything will be different in Assassin's Creed: Shadows:
As the executive producer said, critics and fans rightly accused the series of a one-sided approach. Now Ubisoft will try to balance the segments from the past and the present, as it was in the classic parts.
Recall that the release of Assassin's Creed: Shadows is scheduled for February 14. The game will be released on PC, Xbox Series X / S and PS5.
Earlier it became known how much money Ubisoft spent on finalizing the game.
