Ubisoft and Evil Empire released a free Anniversary Update for The Rogue Prince of Persia on September 17, 2026. The patch is available to all owners of the game, which also has a Steam page.
The update's biggest addition is the new Ice element. Freeze builds up in stacks, and after two stacks it completely locks enemies down and interrupts their attacks. When the effect ends, frozen enemies take a damage burst, while opponents standing in water receive double stacks. -

On August 18, GOG announced that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has joined its Preservation Program, and the store page now lists the 2003 action-adventure for modern PCs.
The update adds native widescreen and ultrawide support, along with intelligent FOV scaling based on monitor aspect ratio. GOG also says the game now includes a multi-monitor mouse lock option, an FPS limiter, and a new in-game overlay for real-time setting tweaks. -
