Valve has updated the Steam account protection system
November 4, 2024, 01:30 PM
A new account protection system has appeared in the Steam mobile application, designed to discourage scammers from hacking accounts. Now, when attempting to log in from a different IP address, the platform may ask you to answer several questions.
If the data does not match or the user selects a suspicious answer, authorization will be interrupted, and the account owner will receive a notification about a hacking attempt. In this case, you can accept several attempts to log in to the account.
Earlier, Valve said when Steam Deck 2 might be released.
