Players Outraged by New Assassin's Creed: Shadows EULA

Assassin's Creed: Shadows can be added to the list of the most problematic releases of 2025 in advance. It was only recently revealed that newcomers are working on the game, when a new problem arose.

The game's community on Steam drew attention to one of the clauses in the EULA. According to it, players need to provide access to RAM monitoring so that the game can track third-party applications in the PC's RAM and, if they are detected, send data to Ubisoft, including the owner's IP.

Many gamers did not like this clause in the agreement, and they accused Ubisoft of spying on users. The fact is that in this way the game will gain access to user data, and in the event of a security breach, it can simply «leak». You cannot refuse the requirement — it is mandatory for running Assassin's Creed Shadows.

To be fair, players rarely look at the user agreement when buying a particular game — and sometimes you can find much more interesting terms in them. But in the case of Assassin's Creed: Shadows, the mistrust of the project is so great that gamers are starting to read every line.
