During a special event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Need for Speed series, Criterion Games announced that they plan to significantly enhance the car interior customization options in future projects.
We always want to look at that. It's a trade-off that we always have between how much it costs to do it. There are a massive amount of cars that we have to go back over and add all of those interiors to the right level. It is something that we want to do. It's a great area for customisation. Once you get to that point, people treat their cars like their houses. They do all kinds of things to the interior of those cars, which we don't touch. It adds a great level of personalisation. I would say it's high on our list.
As a reminder, the latest game in the series developed by Criterion Games is Need for Speed Unbound. The game was released in 2022 and received mixed reviews from players on Steam (62% rating).
By the way, not long ago, a free update for this game was released featuring content inspired by the iconic Most Wanted from 2005.
