StarCraft 2 Player Successfully Completes «Impossible» Mission
Many games have a loophole that allows you to break a quest and complete it differently than the developers intended. A StarCraft 2 fan realized that he didn't like the true ending of the In Utter Darkness mission and decided to win at all costs.
According to the canon, a Protoss player must withstand several waves of opponents and die with honor, having defeated the required number of enemies. However, gamers have tried to save their units using various tactics over the years. And finally, Davey Gunface succeeded — he found a way to complete the deadly mission and save the Protoss.
In short, the YouTuber figured out how to manipulate the artificial intelligence of opponents in order to drive them into a stalemate. Using a combination of Vortex and Mass Recall, Davey Gunface placed a couple dozen Templars in a strategic crevice that ground units can't reach. After turning into 12 Archons, the units can easily deal with air attacks. And the accumulation of enemy forces on the ground simply doesn't allow anything else to spawn. Thus, the battle ends not in defeat, but in an eternal siege, in which the Protoss can survive indefinitely. Of course, there will still be no victory screen, but at least it's something.
