A large-scale mod called Reign of Nether has been released for Minecraft, transforming the 3D sandbox into a full-fledged strategy game. As one player put it, «we had Starcraft, we had Warcraft, now its finally time for Minecraft.»
The enthusiast has completely revamped the gameplay, adding base building, resource gathering, and battles involving dozens of units. Players can choose from three factions — monsters, piglins, and villagers.
For now, the mod supports only multiplayer mode, but the creator is already working on single-player content. You can download Reign of Nether here.
As a reminder, there was an official strategy game set in the Minecraft universe called Minecraft Legends, but fans didn't take to it.
