96% Positive Reviews on Steam — The Thing: Remastered Released
Nightdive Studios has launched The Thing: Remastered on PC and consoles. According to the developers, it's a faithful restoration of the 2002 game of the same name, which continues the storyline of John Carpenter's sci-fi film The Thing.
Notably, the game has already received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, boasting a 96% rating at the time of writing.
The Thing: Remastered is an enhanced version of the original, featuring anti-aliasing, pixel lighting, 4K resolution, and up to 144 FPS.
The story follows U.S. Special Forces rescue team commander Jay F. Blake, who is tasked with investigating what happened to the scientific team at the research facility Outpost 31.
The project combines action elements with survival horror. The Thing: Remastered is available for purchase on Steam, GOG, Humble, PS Store, Nintendo eShop, and Xbox Store.
