According to Insider Gaming, almost all of the Zombies mode actors in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have refused to work on the game. The reason for the dissatisfaction was the lack of protection in the contracts against replacement with AI.
The publication cites the popular insider TheGhostOfHope, who specializes in information on Call of Duty. According to him, right now Treyarch Studios is «in panic» due to the departure of performers, which allegedly led to reworking on the fly. The actors are not ready to work, since they are already being actively replaced with AI — as an example, the source cited the voice of S.A.M. on the Citadelle des Morts map. At the same time, there is no clause in the contracts that would protect the rights of the performers.
Insider Gaming journalists have already requested confirmation of this rumor from Activision, but have not yet received an answer. Let's remember that right now the SAG-AFTRA actors' union is on strike against game studios — performers want to get guarantees of protection against replacement by neural networks.
Let's remember that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched in October with quite high ratings from players and critics.
