Naughty Dog's New Game Trailer Drowned in Dislikes
At The Game Awards 2024 last night, Naughty Dog showed an announcement trailer for its new project Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Players did not appreciate the first look at the sci-fi action game.
Gamers expressed their attitude to Neil Druckmann's future game with thousands of dislikes and negative comments. In just a few hours, the video on Naughty Dog's YouTube channel collected 18 thousand dislikes against 16 thousand likes — the same picture with the trailer on the PlayStation channel.
Apparently, the studio noticed the players' reaction and closed the comments under the video on the Naughty Dog account. However, the section remained available on the PlayStation YouTube channel, filling up with new caustic remarks from players. In particular, many did not like the design of the main character, which is why gamers immediately recalled the ingloriously closed Concord, as well as the blatant brand advertising in some frames:
However, the trailer also evoked positive emotions from the gamer community. For example, many noted the similarities with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy due to the setting, bold heroes, and use of retro music.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5. Naughty Dog has not yet announced the release date.
