Marvel's Spider-Man Fan-Made Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer Revealed
A lot of information about Insomniac Games' cancelled multiplayer game based on the Spider-Man universe leaked online earlier this year. Since we're unlikely to get Spider-Man: The Great Web, fans have taken matters into their own hands.
A team of modders found remnants of multiplayer in Marvel's Spider-Man's code and apparently partially restored its functionality. Only 16 people can play at a time, and there's no PvP either — the mode is planned to be added in the future. But the project already allows for co-op play through some story missions, installing other add-ons, and even displaying them for other participants.
The developers are in no hurry to announce a release date — the mod has been in development since August 2024 and is not ready yet. However, they are already planning to release a version for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Recall that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be released on PC on January 30, 2025. The game will not officially have any add-ons, but they will add a link to a PSN account.
