Sony is reportedly developing a new «original AAA game», with a Call of Duty veteran rumored to be involved.

It seems that Sony is working on another AAA game, which is being developed by a new studio in Los Angeles. The project is said to be related to a new intellectual property. This information came to light thanks to a recently posted job listing for a senior producer for the game.

The job description states that the future PlayStation employee will work at a new studio in Los Angeles, which will handle the development of the unnamed AAA project.

— job description

Sony is looking for someone with experience in AAA titles. Rumor has it that the new Los Angeles studio might be headed by Jason Blundell, who was previously involved in the development of Call of Duty games. Additionally, he also led his own studio, Deviation Games, which eventually closed without releasing the planned PS5 exclusive.

Some former Deviation Games employees have confirmed that they have moved to one of the PlayStation studios led by Jason Blundell.

As a reminder, we previously reported that Sony showcased a conceptual technology that takes The Last of Us gameplay to a whole new level of realism.
