Aspyr has released a remastered version of the action game Star Wars: Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles, originally launched in 2000 on PlayStation and Dreamcast (with a simplified port on Game Boy Advance in 2001). The project has already garnered 88% positive reviews on Steam.

As the title suggests, the game is based on the first episode of Star Wars, "The Phantom Menace." Players will embark on a mission to reclaim the royal palace of Theed.

Star Wars: Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles features several playable characters, including Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia, and Qui-Gon Jinn. Additionally, characters who were previously locked, such as Darth Maul, Captain Panaka, Queen Amidala, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and a battle droid, are now available from the start.

The game offers both a single-player mode and local co-op.

"Play side by side with a friend in a two-player co-op mode. Experience the full 10-level campaign and bonus mini-games", — states the description.

In addition to the classic campaign, the game also includes a "New Game+" mode. Other features include updated controls (with the classic option still available), the ability to change lightsaber colors, new characters, and various secrets tied to the 25th anniversary of the original.

Star Wars: Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles is available on PC (Steam and GOG), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
