The publisher, Hasbro, announced in a financial report the approximate release date of Exodus, a new sci-fi RPG from the studio Archetype Entertainment. Let us remind you that the game is being developed by people from BioWare, Naughty Dog and 343 Industries.
The company plans to release the project in 2026. Judging by the report, Hasbro is counting on a strong launch, mentioning the studio's "veteran" staff as an argument. Exodus is being developed by James Ohlen, a former designer of Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age: Origins and co-author of Mass Effect, and the screenwriter is Drew Karpyshyn, who wrote the story for Star Wars: KOTOR and the first two parts of Mass Effect.
Exodus is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as a full-fledged AAA role-playing project. The game's events will take place in the distant future, where people have left the dying Earth and traveled to other star systems.
Recently, it became known about a large-scale reduction in the BioWare staff. According to Jason Schreier, the developers were transferred to other projects, leaving a small team to work on the new Mass Effect.
