Pithead Studio, comprising former members of Piranha Bytes who contributed to the Gothic series, has announced a new project called Cralon. The creators have already showcased the first screenshots and a trailer featuring gameplay footage.
Cralon is an adventure RPG centered around dungeon exploration. The story follows Cralon the Brave, who is tracking down a demon hunting the villagers. One day, the monster catches him off guard, leaving him trapped in an old mine. The main objective is to find a way out of the countless labyrinths filled with dangers.
"Ahead lies a maze of corridors and secrets, and you must find your way out to prevent impending doom. But the deeper you delve into the underworld, the clearer it becomes that something is amiss," reads the description.
Key features include diverse environments, seamless levels, a deep storyline with unexpected twists, side quests, original creatures (which can be either friendly or hostile), a crafting system, puzzles and traps, detailed character progression, as well as variable dialogues with voice acting.
The exact release date is yet to be announced, but there are pages on Steam and Epic Games Store.
Pithead Studio was founded by Bjorn Pankratz and Jennifer Pankratz.
