Insider Jeff Grubb: New God of War Will Still Follow Kratos but Won't Be a Major Title

Journalist and insider Jeff Grubb has shared fresh rumors about the next God of War entry. A few days ago, he reported that Santa Monica Studio is working on a game set in Ancient Greece.
In the latest episode of the Giant Bomb podcast, Grubb clarified that this won’t be a full-fledged sequel but rather a spin-off. The exact scale remains unclear, but it could be a smaller project similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
As for the protagonist, Kratos will once again take center stage. While this isn’t a huge surprise, it's good to have additional confirmation.
The new God of War is reportedly set for a 2025 release. Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that Ghost of Yotei has not been delayed and is also slated for 2025.
