Valve rolls out emergency patch 7.41a for Dota 2 — crashes fixed and 30 heroes adjusted

Just three days after the release of the major update for Dota 2, Valve has pushed out an emergency patch 7.41a. The reason: a wave of crashes and bugs that players started reporting after last week’s massive changes.
On the technical side, numerous client and server crashes have been fixed. The option to display facet names above the health bar has also been removed — it’s no longer needed since facets themselves were completely taken out of the game in 7.41. In addition, dozens of specific bugs were addressed, from Chen’s Holy Persuasion behaving incorrectly to a server crash exploit involving Meepo and dual bracers.
Balance changes affected around 30 heroes and several items. Among the notable nerfs: Alchemist lost movement speed and gold gain from kills, Bloodseeker now attacks more slowly, and Wraith King received adjustments to his talents. Items were also hit — Consecrated Wraps and Crude Enchantment have been weakened. On the buff side, Ancient Apparition stands out, with his Bone Chill innate now reducing enemy strength more effectively.
Patch 7.41 launched on March 24 and became one of the largest updates in recent times: the facet system was removed, innate abilities were reworked, new items were added, and neutral camp timings were adjusted. The meta is still far from settled — 7.41a only tweaks the most broken elements so far.
How does the new patch feel to you — more interesting meta or still chaos? Share your thoughts in the comments.
