After figuring out the GPS in the game Sons of the Forest, a map with numerous markers will be revealed to you. Today, we will tell you how to find a shovel and dig up a grave with a purple marker, where to find a rebreather and a zipline gun.
In order to dig graves, you will need a shovel, which is located in a cave with many underwater tunnels. Therefore, first, you will need to find a Zipline Gun and a rebreather .
A rebreather can be found in a cave near where your helicopter crashed. If you landed elsewhere, head to the northwest side of the map. There you will find a huge beach. Then, follow the northwest side of the beach and walk along the shore until you find several yellow barrels scattered on the ground. The cave is linear, so it's hard to get lost. You will encounter several groups of mutants, which are very difficult to bypass.
You can use several life jackets as a landmark. After them, turn left. The rebreather will be lying in a small room in the form of a backpack. When you enter the water, the character will automatically wear it. Refilling the oxygen supply is problematic, so use the item only when necessary.
If you don't want to use up the oxygen in the tank, you can open the inventory and remove the rebreather. To do this, simply hover the cursor over it and click the indicated button.
The zipline gun, like many useful items, is located in a cave. Look for it in the western part of the map, relatively close to the cave with the shovel. The cave is long but not too dangerous compared to other dungeons. Stay on the left side until you find a suitcase with the zipline gun.
To find the shovel, you need to enter the cave system on the west of the snow-covered mountain in the center of the map. The dungeon can be found by following along the stream bank. Outside, there will be three dead bodies on spikes. If you are coming here right after the cave with the rebreather, just follow the river south. Or you can navigate using the screenshot above. The required cave is located northeast of the character's current position.
The cave is quite large and complex. Make sure you have taken enough food and water, resources to create a tent, and ammunition.
Light your way and move forward until you reach a cliff. Do not jump down! Instead, look up and find a rope. Use the zipline gun to get to the other side. Here, you need to use the rebreather to swim underwater.
When you surface, you'll have to fight off the mutants nearby. Then, continue moving forward until you reach a steep slope that you need to slide down. At the first light source, you can find some medicine and a few useful materials. Next, go through several particularly lively rooms. The path will be linear, but don't forget to watch out for enemies. They are easy to defeat as long as they don't surround you.
A bit further, you'll find several light sources — follow them forward. There's one last dive ahead, after which there will be a small cave with the body of a worker at the edge of a cliff. Inspect the body and take the shovel.
To dig up a grave, you'll need to approach the purple marker on the map (the location is indicated in the screenshot above). As you get closer to it, your GPS will start emitting a sound signal. When you are in the right place, the shovel marker will indicate exactly which area needs to be dug up. Then, equip the shovel and press LMB.
As a reward, you can receive many different resources, including a shotgun and a GPS beacon. The shovel will also come in handy for searching for plot key cards and other items. Therefore, the sooner you get it, the faster you'll be able to solve new puzzles.
