Ultimate Guide: How to Increase Spirit in Path of Exile 2
The second part of Path of Exile has undergone significant changes and improvements compared to the first. In particular, the system of constant attribute and mana enhancement has been updated. Now a new parameter is used for this — Spirit. Let's figure out what this resource is for and how you can increase its amount for your character.
What Spirit is Needed For
Spirit is a key resource necessary for activating various character attribute enhancements and effects, including summoning minions and increasing mobility, even during attack animations.
To find out the amount of Spirit, open the hero description window: the required indicator is located to the right of mana. If you want to use a specific skill, use the skill menu and select the desired buff.
How to Get More Spirit in Path of Exile 2
You can obtain Spirit in several ways: by completing quests and Chaos Challenges, choosing Ascendancies, and equipping special items. Let's take a closer look at each of these methods.
For Completing Quests
The game features three quests related to the main campaign that will increase the maximum resource amount:
- Freithorn, Act One: After interacting with all three altars in the location, head to the arena at the edge of its map to fight the King in the Mist. Defeating him will increase the indicator value by 30;
- Azah-Kul Swamp, Act Three: Destroy Ignagduk, the swamp witch for the first time, to increase the maximum resource by 30;
- Azah-Kul Swamp, Act Six: Overthrow Ignagduk, the swamp witch again, to increase the available amount of Spirit by 40.
Thus, after completing various challenges, you can enhance this indicator by 100 units.
For Choosing Ascendancies
In addition to regular classes, the game also features special subclasses known as Ascendancies. Some of them grant the character passive abilities related to Spirit:
- Infernalist, Witch — adds one additional unit to the indicator for every 25 health points;
- Invoker, Monarch — adds points to this indicator for every 15 evasion resource values and 6 for the energy shield of equipped armor, but makes it impossible to improve the resource from items and clothing.
For Using Regular or Unique Items
In Path of Exile 2, you can increase Spirit thanks to equipment that can use special modifiers or simply apply a bonus that increases with item improvement:
- Any of the scepters adds at least 100 units to the resource;
- Most solar amulets increase Spirit by 10-15 points;
- Shaman's Mantle enhances the indicator by 20-30 values;
- Turquoise gem increases this parameter by 2% for each Grand Image;
- Ligurium Talisman, a solar amulet Beacon of Azis adds 25-35 units to Spirit;
- Solar amulet Fire Flower increases the indicator by 10-15;
- Golden ring Ventor's Gamble increases the resource by any value from 0 to 20 points;
- Protective hood Alpha's Howl affects the parameter points, enhancing them by 100 units;
- Armor Morior Invictus adds +10 for each placed rune or soul core;
- Armor Pariah's Embrace and Enveloping Dawn increase this parameter by 50 and 100 points respectively;
- Shield Old Oak also adds 50 to this indicator.
For Completing Chaos Trials and Weapon Modification
During the third act, you will gain access to special quests in the Temple of Chaos, which involve defeating enemies in a series of battles. As a reward for completing them, you can obtain various equipment, among which the Azcapa Soul Core and Vaal Orbs stand out.
The Azcapa Soul Core increases the maximum amount of Spirit by 15 units when installed on combat weapons. Vaal Orbs allow enchanting any item from the inventory, which can increase the values of necessary characteristics. The amount of added Spirit can vary from 20 to 61 units or from 10 to 65%, but this change is not guaranteed, as there are many similar possibilities in the game. By the way, the modification can also be purchased from a trader.
