How to Find and Use the Railgun Effectively in Fortnite

Originally introduced in Chapter 2 Season 7, the Railgun is a powerful weapon that uses heavy ammunition and can deal significant damage in the hands of an experienced player. The weapon reappeared in Fortnite in Chapter 6 Season 1, coinciding with the addition of Godzilla on January 17. Its return is associated with a challenge requiring players to deal damage to the deadly kaiju. However, finding it is not easy, as it does not have a specific spawn location.

The Railgun can drop from chests or be found on the floor anywhere on the map. In Chapter 6 Season 1, there is no specific location to find it, so it is recommended to explore areas with a high number of chests, such as Twilight Forest, Kappa Kappa Factory, and Masked Meadows.

The Railgun differs from other weapons in Fortnite. To deal damage with it, you need to wait for the shot to recharge. You can shoot earlier, but this will reduce the damage. Be cautious when charging, as the red beam will be visible to other players.

The Railgun also has a hit scanning feature, allowing it to penetrate one structure. Keep an eye on the Void Boon indicator, which will allow you to see the positions of other players after knocking down an enemy, enabling you to shoot through walls.
