Ratings for the film Joker: Folie à Deux have arrived

The first reviews of the second Joker, one of the most anticipated films of 2024, have appeared online. The film disappointed critics, earning an average score of 53/100 on Metacritic.

Critics described the sequel as boring and drawn-out, with a runtime of 2 hours and 18 minutes. The reviews criticized the poor development of both the Joker and Harley Quinn, with the latter receiving little screen time. Additionally, the film was deemed less intense than the previous installment. However, the visually stunning musical numbers and the outstanding performances of Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, who starred in the leading roles, received praise.

Like the first installment, the sequel was directed by Todd Phillips. The premiere is set for October 4.
