THR: Destin Daniel Cretton in Talks to Direct Spider-Man 4

The Hollywood Reporter has published an exclusive article about the director of the next «Spider-Man» movie. As it turns out, the film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Cretton is in negotiations and is expected to sign the contract soon. Previously, it was reported that Sam Raimi, the creator of the original trilogy with Tobey Maguire, might take on the project.

Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers will once again handle the screenplay for the fourth installment, while Marvel head Kevin Feige and former Sony head Amy Pascal will serve as producers.

THR sources noted that the film's production is in full swing. Filming is scheduled to begin early next year.
