Rumor: Spyro 4 is in development — a continuation of the iconic series about the purple dragon
YouTuber and insider known as Canadian Guy Eh has reported that Spyro 4 is in development — a continuation of the famous platformer series, which was very popular on the PS One. The information has not been officially confirmed yet, so it should be taken as a rumor.
According to the insider, the development is being handled by the American studio Toys for Bob, which previously released Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. Microsoft will serve as the publisher.
Canadian Guy Eh received this information from multiple sources at the PAX East 2024 expo. He was told that the project is currently in the very early stages of development, which, contrary to previous rumors, began in January 2024.
Toys for Bob has not commented on the recent rumor.
