«Forget Everything You Know About Prince of Persia Remake»: Insider Shares New Details on the Reeboted The Sands of Time
Remember the troubled remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time? Insider Tom Henderson advises to forget everything you've heard about the game, as its development has been completely rebooted.
According to the report, the remake is being built from scratch, and all the work done by the Indian studios initially involved in the game has been discarded. The insider has seen several frames and confirms that the development is in its early stages, and the release is not happening anytime soon.
One of the sources mentioned that the new developers — the main Ubisoft Montreal studio — are adopting a «realistic approach.» The game will feature completely revamped graphics, new animations, combat mechanics, parkour, and more.
Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced the Prince in the original 2003 game and the initial version of the remake, will not return to his role. Henderson does not know whether this was the developers' or the actor's initiative.
Several sources suggested that the company might soon share fresh details about the project. We are awaiting further information at the Ubisoft Forward presentation, which will take place on June 10.
Previously, Ubisoft presented a full-fledged story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, where it also announced the release date.
