According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is preparing a television adaptation of Scooby-Doo. The deal has not been finalized yet, but all parties are close to signing the necessary documents.
Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg, known for the series Cowboy Bebop (47 points on Metacritic) and High Fidelity (70 points on Metacritic), will be working on the script. Greg Berlanti, who worked on You and Riverdale, will serve as the executive producer.
This will be the second adaptation of Scooby-Doo in the last few years. Previously, HBO announced a new season of Velma, which tells the backstory of one of the characters.
