Marathon, one of the first games from Destiny and Destiny 2 creator Bungie, is now available on Steam. The game is completely free to download in all regions.
Marathon is a 1994 sci-fi shooter set in the distant future. The game follows a cyborg as he attempts to defend a spaceship and its crew from alien invaders. The Steam version has been updated to support modern hardware, including widescreen monitors, improved audio, and 60 FPS.
The 1995 sequel, Marathon 2: Durandal, is also coming to Steam in the future. A Steam page for the game is already live , but no release date has been announced. The sequel will also be free to play.
A reboot of Marathon is also in development as an online shooter.
