The creators of the massive Oblivion remake showcased the aurora borealis above Bruma
The development team of Skyblivion — a fan-made Oblivion remake on the Skyrim engine — published two new screenshots. They feature the aurora borealis — over the weekend, this unique weather phenomenon was even observed by the inhabitants of Bruma.
Prior to this, the authors also showed off the forests of Cyrodiil, the city of Chorrol, Ayleid dungeons, updated perk screens, hacking and much more.
It's worth mentioning that the mod's development started over 10 years ago, but it's promised to be released by 2025. The team not only transferred all content from Oblivion but also reimagined some locations and improved battles with some bosses.
Meanwhile, Bethesda might be working on its own reinterpretation of Oblivion. The possibility of a remaster's development became known in 2023, when it was mentioned by a former employee of Virtuos Games.
